Residence Units

One semester of full-time study at Cornell counts as one-residence unit. Master's degrees require at least two residence units, and a Ph.D. requires at least six, two of them after the A exam. Registration during summers can count towards residence units, but there are limitations. See the Cornell Guide to Graduate Study http://www.gradschool.cornell.edu/pubs_and_forms/pubs/guidetograduatestudy.pdf.
